National Charity League, Inc. (NCL)
is a non-profit national organization of mothers and daughters who join
together in community involvement within local chapters throughout the
United States. For more than fifty years, our goal is to foster a sense
of community responsibility and strengthen the mother-daughter
relationship. The Salt Lake City Chapter was chartered in 1977 and was
the first chapter outside of California.
The NCL, Inc. mission is to
foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization
committed to community service, leadership development and cultural
experiences.
Daughters (Ticktockers)
participate in a six-year program of philanthropic work, educational
activities and cultural events, beginning in 7th grade and going
through their senior year of high school. To facilitate this plan,
Ticktockers may first join in the spring of their 6th-grade year. The
last opportunity to join is in the spring of their 9th-grade year.
Women may join NCL without a daughter and become a Patroness-At-Large.
